One you've installed twine for Zoom, as the meeting host, there are a few things to double check before using the app.

✅ Ensure that You Have Access to Zoom Apps

Ensure that you have access to Zoom Apps in our meeting by checking and following the steps outlined here.

✅ Ensure that You're the Owner of the Meeting

In order to run the full twine for Zoom experience, the host and the owner of the meeting need to be the same person. If you plan on using twine for Zoom in your meeting, ensure that the meeting was created by you in your Zoom account.

✅ Ensure that You're Using the Zoom Desktop Client

You need to use the Zoom Desktop Client to host a twine for Zoom meeting. Currently, we do not support hosting a twine for Zoom meeting on the web browser or on mobile. If your participants are joining from the web client or a mobile phone, they will not be able to use the app, but twine can still move them through the matchmaking process.

✅ Ensure that You're on the Right Version of Zoom & Require Users to Update

As the host, you will want to be on version 5.11.0 of Zoom. This allows you to use all the functionalities of the app including allowing those without the app to experience it in guest mode. Although they can use the app with earlier versions of Zoom (v 5.10.6), your participants should also be on version 5.11.0 for the best experience.

Here's how to check your Zoom version and update it.

PRO TIP: As the meeting owner, you can ensure that your guests are on the latest version of Zoom by requiring them to update their Zoom version prior to joining your meeting. To enable this setting, follow these steps.

Have Zoom Breakout Rooms enabled

As the host, using twine for Zoom means you won't have to manually manage the Breakout Rooms, but you must enable zoom breakout rooms before the meeting in order to use twine for Zoom.

Please note: Only the host needs to do this, participants do not need to have Breakout Rooms enabled.
