Installing twine for Zoom: Quick Troubleshooting Guide

twine makes it easy for Zoom hosts to create connection by enabling advanced breakout rooms and speed networking.

Zoom Apps are an emerging set of tools that can be downloaded in Zoom and embedded right into your Zoom experience. Zoom apps, like twine for Zoom are all about enhancing your Zoom experience.

There are a number of steps involved in downloading a Zoom app and we've highlighted below the common issues guests encounter when trying to download a Zoom app and how to troubleshoot them.

🚫 ISSUE #1: You don't see the "Apps" button in your Zoom client

βœ… Quick Solution: You need to login to Zoom and enable the "Zoom Apps Quick Launch" button in your personal zoom account (under Settings > Zoom Apps)

🚫 ISSUE #2: Breakout rooms are not enabled

βœ… Quick Solution: In order for twine to work, breakout rooms need to be enabled. twine will detect whether or not your breakout rooms are enabled and can turn them on for you.

🚫 ISSUE #3: You receive an error indicating you are not logged in to Zoom.

βœ… Quick Solution: You need to be logged into both the Zoom desktop client AND the Zoom website with the same account to access and download apps.
